Stephen D. Kursman is an attorney with more than 29 years of experience. He has practiced with the Firm since 1988.

His practice involves civil litigation and trials in federal and state court. The subject matters of his litigation experience include fringe benefits, alter ego, complex contracts and leases, uniform commercial code, real estate, commissions, condemnation, accounting malpractice defense, defamation and business torts. Steve is also experienced at, and serves as, an arbitrator, mediator and case evaluator.

Steve practiced law in Texas from 1981 to 1985. He was admitted to the practice of law in Michigan in 1985. He received his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 1981, and his undergraduate degree with high honors from The University of Michigan in 1977, where he majored in economics and wrote for the student newspaper. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Member: Real Property Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections) and the Oakland County Bar Association. He has written articles about business litigation.
